Plant Support

Join us for a half-day or full-day, outdoor craft workshop and make a selection of plant supports including a Willow Obelisk and/or a garden Willow or Hazel Trellis you can be proud of!

The Workshop

Our full-day workshop will provide you with sufficient time to make a mini-Obelisk as well as a large Obelisk plus either a large decorative Trellis, Cylindrical Plant Support or Cloche! We use various styles of weaving and lengths of rods to create the plant supports, we will demonstrate these styles on the day and are happy for you to be creative with your own designs!

Based at our main outdoor studio, Birtley Woodland Art Space, the workshop is set within the stunning 48-acre privately owned Birtley Estate in Bramley, near Guildford. This inspiring venue in the heart of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides the perfect backdrop for our workshops, training courses, and corporate away days.

The estate features scenic lakes, tranquil gardens, and woodland trails, offering space for relaxation as well as creativity. Guests can enjoy stroll by the water or take a winter walk through the woodland between sessions.
