Nestled within the woodlands of the 48-acre Birtley Estate in Bramley, near Guildford, this unique outdoor setting offers the perfect environment to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Spending time in the great outdoors supports both physical and mental wellbeing—surrounded by woodland flora and fauna, it’s hard not to feel anything but uplifted and inspired.
Created and managed by Hedges & Hurdles Country Skills & Crafts, the space offers a varied programme of experiences rooted in Willow & Wood Craft and Wellbeing. From hands-on creative workshops to gentle practices that encourage mindfulness and balance, our events invite people of all ages and abilities to connect with nature and explore their creativity.
We work with a growing team of visiting artisans, guest artists, makers, and wellness instructors to deliver engaging, inclusive, and accessible events. The site is perfect for hosting bespoke group experiences, including corporate away days, family gatherings, school visits, clubs, societies, and tailored sessions for those with special needs.
