Join us for this experiential weekend of learning and discovery held in the beauty of the Birtley Estate Woodlands.
Experiential Activities
Reflecting upon connections between internal and external landscapes; exploring personal relationships with nature.
Practicalities of Therapy Outdoors
Considering setting, risk assessment, weather, navigation, confidentiality, boundaries and being in spaces shares with other living beings.
Eco Arts and Embodied Practice
Therapeutic use of metaphor, the senses, bodies as an expression of natural materials, scavenging, creating and journaling.

Suitable for:
This is a course for qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists and psychiatrists who feel ready to take the next step in working therapeutically outside in nature.

NB. This is not a residential course. Please bring your own lunch and water. Vegan snacks and drinks provided.

Bridget and Nicola are passionate about the therapeutic potential of working outdoors in nature, and bring a wealth of practical experience in outdoor therapy and delivering counselling training.
