Learn a new skill at our sustainable craft workshops

Hedges and Hurdles offer a selection of workshops for you to choose from, including the opportunity to learn how to weave a Willow Pig, Sheep, Hen, Chicken, Pheasant, Goose, Duck, Fox, Owl, Tortoise, Fawn, Doe, Buck, Rabbit, Hare, Bumble Bee, Mushrooms, and more, or create your own design in our ‘Your Choice workshops’. Our Adult Deer workshop is held over two days.

Suitable for beginners

We will provide you with sufficient Willow that we believe you will need to create a sculpture in a day. You will be able to buy additional Willow if required. Lorraine will be on hand to provide you with guidance and help by showing you weaving techniques to help you create your sculpture of choice. What to expect

Regardless of the location of our workshop or what you decide to make will start our workshop by either looking at photos of the bird or animal we will be sculpting with Willow, focusing on their shape and form to inspire the design of our sculptures.

This workshop suits smaller groups and has a tutor/trainee ratio of 1 to 8 maximum.
