Join Lorraine for a magical full-day or two-day Willow Deer workshop and release your inner creativity whilst being inspired by the beautiful surrounding woodlands, lakes, and gardens of the Birtley Estate.
Lorraine offers a selection of workshops from her main base, the Birtley Woodland Art Space, which is set within the beautiful 48-acre privately owned Birtley Estate in Bramley, near Guildford. This inspiring venue in the heart of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides the perfect backdrop for our workshops, training courses, and corporate away days.
The estate features scenic lakes, tranquil gardens, and woodland trails, offering space for relaxation as well as creativity. Guests can enjoy a summer picnic by the water or take a refreshing walk through the woodland between sessions.
With its combination of woodland and lakeside settings, Birtley Woodland Art Space is an ideal venue for team-building activities, group experiences, and private events. Here, we run a wide variety of workshops, including Willow Craft, Wood Art, Heritage Skills, and fireside experiences, designed to connect people with nature while learning traditional and creative skills.
Hedges and Hurdles offer a range of courses for you to choose from, including the opportunity to learn how to weave a Willow Pig, Sheep, Hen, Chicken, Pheasant, Goose, Duck, Fox, Owl, Tortoise, Fawn, Doe, Buck, Rabbit, Hare, Bumble Bee, Mushrooms, garden obeslisks and support structures and more. Create your own design in our ‘Your Choice workshops’.
